000
WTNT43 KNHC 301450
TCDAT3

Post-Tropical Cyclone Hanna Discussion Number 9
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL AL082026
300 PM GMT Wed Sep 30 2026

Satellite imagery this morning shows that the convection associated
with Hanna has dissipated, and a recent ASCAT overpass shows that
the winds have decreased below tropical storm strength. The
remaining strong winds are in an east-west band well to the north
and northeast of the center. Convection appears unlikely to
redevelop, and based on these factors Hanna is being downgraded to a
remnant low pressure area.

The remnant low should move eastward to east-northward for the next
several days as it gradually weakens. The low is expected to
degenerate to a trough between 72-96 h.

This is the last advisory issued by the National Hurricane Center
on Hanna. Additional information on this system can be found in High
Seas Forecasts issued by the National Weather Service, under AWIPS
header NFDHSFAT1, WMO header FZNT01 KWBC, and online at
ocean.weather.gov/shtml/NFDHSFAT1.php

FORECAST POSITIONS AND MAX WINDS

INIT 30/1500Z 33.4N 43.6W 30 KT 35 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
12H 01/0000Z 33.7N 42.5W 30 KT 35 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
24H 01/1200Z 34.5N 40.4W 30 KT 35 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
36H 02/0000Z 35.1N 37.9W 30 KT 35 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
48H 02/1200Z 35.2N 35.7W 25 KT 30 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
60H 03/0000Z 35.0N 33.8W 25 KT 30 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
72H 03/1200Z 34.6N 31.5W 20 KT 25 MPH...POST-TROP/REMNT LOW
96H 04/1200Z...DISSIPATED

$$
Forecaster Beven
